Who you would be working with
Simpled Services is a property maintenance and refurbishment company. We work for housing associations, letting agents, landlords and private clients, mostly in London and the South East, and on jobs across the rest of the UK.
More than 8,500 jobs have gone through us. Mould and damp, leaks, plumbing, painting, kitchens and bathrooms, full refurbishments, end of tenancy work. Some of it is a two hour repair. Some of it runs for months.
The work is run inside Plan@Job, our own platform. Your jobs, the address, the scope, your photos, your reports and your invoice all sit in one place, so nobody is chasing anybody through WhatsApp for a picture of a finished wall.
The role
Every job we take is priced before it runs. Repairs, refurbishments, whole blocks of void properties, and schedules of rates work for housing association clients.
Price too high and we lose the job. Price too low and we do the work for nothing. This seat is the difference between the two.
What the work is
- Price repair, maintenance and refurbishment work from scopes, photos and surveys.
- Work to client schedules of rates where the contract uses them.
- Check the subcontractor price before it goes into a quote, not after.
- Keep a record of what we quoted and what it actually cost, so the next price is better.
What we need from you
- Estimating or quantity surveying experience in maintenance, repairs or refurbishment.
- You can read a scope and know what is missing from it.
- Comfortable with numbers under time pressure.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
